Assignment:

 

Answer the following questions in paragraph form.  You must be historically specific in answering each question.

 

1.      From the events we have studied in foreign affairs (1865-1914), what do you believe was the greatest achievement for the United States?  Why?

 

2.      From the events we have studied in foreign affairs (1865-1914), what is the greatest example of the United States acting as an imperial power?  Give specific examples to prove how the U.S. acted imperialistic.

 

Grading:

 

Eight (8) possible points per question:

·         6 points for completeness of answer and historical accuracy (must use specific examples)

·         2 points for proper spelling and grammar

o   DO NOT use 1st or 2nd person (or the pluralized version: we, us, our)

o   No Contractions

o   Write in past tense
